2022 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR

vs. Jeep Wagoneer

Comparing the 2022 Lincoln Navigator to the 2022 Wagoneer

Choosing an SUV to match your lifestyle can be a tall task. While you need something that can keep up your family vacations, you also deserve a vehicle that keeps you wrapped in comfort and convenience. No other lineup does this better than Lincoln, with the Lincoln Navigator serving as the eight-seat companion for larger families who love luxury. When you climb into the driver's seat of a new Lincoln Navigator, you can expect the best.

That's not to say the Navigator is without competition. Popular options like the new Wagoneer present a stiff rival to the Lincoln three-row SUV, making it difficult to choose the right fit. Below, you'll find our comparison of the two models and the reasons why you'll end up in the driver's seat of the Lincoln Navigator.

Both large SUVs might not provide the best miles per gallon compared to smaller SUVs, but the Lincoln Navigator still holds an edge over the Wagoneer. The Lincoln SUV receives an EPA-estimated 17/23 mpg city/highway, while the Wagoneer only gets 16/22 mpg city/highway. The Lincoln Navigator pairs its engine to a ten-speed automatic transmission - the Wagoneer's comparison is an eight-inch automatic.

Experience the epitome of refined power.

Performance: Full-size SUVs need plenty of power under the hood to handle the challenges of the road. The Lincoln Navigator features a standard 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Conversely, the Wagoneer uses a 5.7-liter V8 engine, delivering 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. If you want to maximize the muscle your SUV enjoys, the Navigator easily outpaces the Wagoneer.

ACTIVEGLIDE™

The 2022 Navigator elevates life on the road with effortless technology. Building upon Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, this vehicle introduces all-new available ActiveGlide* technology that allows you to operate your Navigator hands-free, while keeping your eyes on the road. This feature is compatible on prequalified sections of divided highways called Hands-Free Blue Zones that make up more than 100,000 miles of North American roads.

*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. ActiveGlide is a hands-free highway driving feature. Only remove hands from the steering wheel when in Hands-Free Blue Zones. ActiveGlide requires Built-In Navigation and comes with a complimentary three-year trial. Always watch the road and be prepared to resume control of the vehicle. It does not replace safe driving. See Owner's Manual for details and limitations. Requires regular map updates, LincolnWay App, and modem activation.

ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION WITH ROAD PREVIEW

Grounding power and smooth performance. Adaptive Suspension with available Road Preview works with a front camera to evaluate and monitor the road ahead. When an upcoming bump in the road is detected, the system will prepare the suspension to help lessen the impact on both the vehicle and your comfort.

SAFETY FEATURES

Keeping Your family safe should be a priority when buying your new SUV. The Lincoln Navigator works hard to provide peace of mind, thanks to its standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360™ driver assistance package. This suite of safety features includes a Lane-Keeping System and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, and Intersection Assist. The Wagoneer features a similar safety package, but options like Intersection Collision Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and the Lane Management System aren't standard - you'll need to pay more to have them on your new SUV. The Navigator also makes squeezing into tight parking spots easier with the Active Park Assist 2.0 system - the Wagoneer doesn't offer this feature standard either!

LINCOLN EMBRACE

A red-carpet welcome. Your Navigator large luxury SUV will greet you every time you approach with an awakening illumination sequence and organic movement.

APPROACH DETECTION

From the moment you approach, your vehicle guides the way. When your key fob is within a detectable range, autofold sideview mirrors project a signature Lincoln logo welcome mat on the ground below the front doors, door handles glow and front and rear running lamps illuminate in a thoughtfully timed sequence.

You'll naturally learn these beautiful chimes through their associated screen messages in order to take corrective action that supports the safety of your journey.

AN ELEVATED INTERFACE

Continuous design drawn from the cosmos. The digital screens inside the 2022 Lincoln Navigator™ integrate a seamless interface to elevate user experience, with the 13.2-inch liquid crystal display center touchscreen as the primacy command center. Additionally, a lockable dampened glove box helps keep any important personal items hushed and secure.

CARGO SPACE

A large SUV should have plenty of space to store your gear or shopping supplies no matter where the road takes you. The Lincoln Navigator L configuration is the largest option for the Navigator lineup, offering up to 120.2 cubic feet of storage space. The Wagoneer only offers one body style, providing you with a maximum of 116.7 cubic feet, meaning you'll need to limit the cargo you bring with you on your next vacation.

TOUCHSCREEN INFOTAINMENT

The Lincoln Navigator features the SYNC® 4 system with Enhance Voice Recognition, allowing you to seamlessly control your music and apps without taking your eyes off the road. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity come with the system, as does a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen display. While the Wagoneer offers a similar infotainment system setup courtesy of its Uconnect® 5 NAV, you'll have to work with a smaller 10.1-inch touchscreen.

Are you ready to experience an SUV that provides the best all-around experience? We encourage you to test drive the new Lincoln Navigator today! You'll love every minute you get in the driver's seat!
