A backup camera, previously known as a rear view camera, is a video camera that is destined for aiding the driver to reverse the vehicle and improve the rear sightless sports. They are usually installed at a vertical angle but with a fish-eye-like lens. Brought into the market in the early 1990s in Japan, the idea is now mainly being put into work.

When you shift your car to reverse, the backup camera will automatically turn on. With a screen fixed at the car dashboard and linked to the backup camera, a video display shows the area behind your vehicle. The best quality cameras will show distance and the space vital for parking. Motor vehicle companies are now advancing, and the production of wireless backup cameras that does not require any cable to link with the screen (display) is now available. A backup camera installed at the back of the vehicle is designed to avoid backup accidents.
