What is ASE Certification?
The Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification program was founded in 1984 by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, also known as N.I.A.S.E. The institute's initial goal was to create a course that would be readily accepted and well established by employers in the automotive service industry. The ASE certification exam was first developed in 1990 and is administered by a variety of organizations worldwide. There are multiple configurations of each exam, ranging from basic to advanced certifications for different areas within the automotive field.
The ASE Certification Program currently holds more than 2 million active members with over 500,000 individuals completing the various exams annually.
